Insights on January’s Saturn/Pluto Conjunction

The long-awaited alignment of these two mighty planets in Capricorn is exact on Sunday. And if you’re feeling the heaviness, you are not alone. We have a planetary pile up in Capricorn right now as well as a lunar eclipse in Cancer on Friday that will oppose and heighten all of this energy.

Unsurprisingly shit is getting real in the world: politically, environmentally, economically. It has been for quite some time. But we’re hitting a point where it’s becoming near impossible to focus on anything else. I found it fascinating while watching the Golden Globes how almost every speech was a call to action for change and some powerful ones at that - looking at you Michelle Williams

People are tuning into the power (Pluto) of their words. Of the importance of our backbone and integrity (Cap/Saturn) as a collective. And we are more aware than ever that the structures (Cap/Saturn) on which our culture has been built, the centers of power, are crumbling (Pluto) and in need of an overhaul. #Timesup. A highly appropriate Saturn/Pluto statement and true on so many levels.

Death and rebirth, the passage of time, the destruction and shock necessary to incite transformation - these Saturn/Pluto topics are challenging, but we must be unafraid to look them in the eye if we are to be agents for change.

Death and rebirth, the passage of time, the destruction and shock necessary to incite transformation - these Saturn/Pluto topics are challenging, but we must be unafraid to look them in the eye if we are to be agents for change. We must be wise enough to look beneath the hardship for the opportunity. One which I believe has much to do with healing our relationship to the feminine.

It’s a theme that has been appearing for me of late that I can’t ignore. It’s there in my sessions in the pattern of my clients’ inability to receive love and support. It’s there in the epidemic of burnout our generation is experiencing from our addiction to productivity and multi-tasking. And there in the guilt and anxiety that arises within when I need a day or five to rest and simply be.

We are a left-brain dominant culture that has been living for the gain rather than the now. That has lost touch with its senses and ability to feel. That values, above all else, logic, reason and being in control. In short, we have come to fear the feminine nature inside of us. The vital, right-brained part of our being that needs to flow with what is and to dream. That speaks from its intuition. That is open to receive and embrace that which is unknown.

Though it can be easy to forget with its dogged ambition and Saturn rulership, Capricorn - the sign in which Saturn and Pluto are aligning - is a feminine/yin sign. An earth sign that invites us back into communion with nature and the deep wisdom and resilience of the earth and the body. Capricorn is the mother with the strength to lead us back into integrity, to ensure that the new structures we build will be reinforced with the wisdom of the heart, and a deep respect for the life that has come before us and all that will follow.

...the hard work of rebuilding, restructuring and holding in your integrity, needs to be paired with just as much self-care and nurturing. One must feed the other.

And opposite this Capricorn pile up, this Friday we have the lunar eclipse/full moon in Cancer - the mother of all mothers, keeper of home, heart and hearth, reminding us that the hard work of rebuilding, restructuring and holding in your integrity, needs to be paired with just as much self-care and nurturing. One must feed the other.

With all these powerful alignments in the sky, stirring up the energy down here and seeming to point us back to our inner feminine, I’m excited to announce I’m in the process of creating an offering specifically designed to answer this call.

“Embodying Wild” - my first course offering - will be a soul-guided journey to owning your inner feminine. Over the 3 months of the course, which will begin in May, I will alchemize wisdom and techniques from Spiritual Psychology, Astrology, Human Design and seminal works on reclaiming the feminine, most notably The Heroine’s Journey and Women Who Run with the Wolves, to help you reconnect with your yin nature, the part of you that rules your intuition, your creativity and your inner wild.

Participants will have access to me for one-on-coaching throughout the course and the opportunity to gather at our ranch in Montana this summer for a 3-day Immersion experience of Equine-Guided Empowerment®, a somatic, soul-healing modality whose power is beyond any other I have experienced.

Find all the details on the Embodying Wild Course here.
