Equine Guided Empowerment® is a somatic approach to healing and rewilding wherein individuals are invited to fully immerse themselves in the world of the horse. In this class, you will discover how interacting with horses - understanding how they live, communicate and thrive - can help you understand more about yourself and what you need to feel safe, authentic and empowered.
Learn the Art of Deep Listening - Through partnering with the horses, we have the rare opportunity to become finely attuned to body language - the energetic communication we are always engaged in with the world around us whether we are conscious of it or not. The incredible sensitivity of horses means that they are always tuned into our inner emotional state and will reflect this back to us. Through this energetic interplay you will become deeply aware of what you are communicating with your body and where you may be holding tension and trauma. This practice of deep listening also opens the portal for us to hear our own intuition and to start showing up more authentically and compassionately in relationship to others, which is the basis for true intimacy and connection.
Embody Empowerment - Horses look to us to lead. Our relationship with horses thrives when we can offer them clarity when it comes to our needs and personal boundaries. This doesn’t mean dominance, it simply means leadership. And leadership means trusting and following your inner wisdom. It means being grounded in your body and present to the needs of the moment. Leadership asks that we believe in ourselves and let go of care-taking and worrying. Through somatic exercises such as “space-claiming” you will be guided to move with trust in your instincts. You will become aware of your boundaries and explore how to honor them energetically.
No prior riding experience is required to participate as we will only be interacting with horses from the ground.
